The Rich and Poor Man

SCENE 1

Narrator       : Bobby and Steven a best friend. They have been best friends since  childhood, but one day when steven’s families falling into poverty, Bobby don’t want to be friend again with steven. Tommorow when Steven, Bobby, Hans, Elza, and Dessy are in the class to clean up before leave their school, steven told Bobby to help him. Because he thought Bobby was the one who could help him and Bobby is his best friend, Bobby don’t want to help steven and bobby insult him.

Steven                        : Bobby, can you help me?

Bobby                        : What?  Help you?  You think who are you?

Steven            : What's wrong with you Bobby? Aren’t we friends? Do you forget it?

Bobby            : Friend? I'm sorry I don’t have a friend like you who are poor. I just want to be friends with people who are rich.

Hanz               : What happen with you? It seems so trouble.

Steven                        : It’s nothing. We're both fine. Yes it Bobby?

Bobby            : Fine? You say fine?  So Hanz, this poor man is asking for help to me. But unfortunately I do not want to help people like him. Moreover, he claim to be my friend.

Narator         : Steven go home quickly because he heard the words of  Bobby say like that.

Dessy             : That’s right Hanz! You should support him, not insult him like that. He's too sad.

Hanz               : Hey isn’t that Steven?

Dessy             : He really was Steven.What is he doing? Why he doesn’t go to school?

SCENE 3

Narrator: Hanz, Dessy and Elza are going home together. In the way home, they met Bobby that is selling at the road edge. Then they decided to greet him

Hanz               : Bobby, what are you doing here?

Bobby                        : ( Shocked ) I.. I... I am doing nothing! I just sit here and..

Elza                : Don’t lie! You help your parents looking for money didn’t you?

Bobby            : No, I didn’t !! Why I must help my parents looking for money? My parents is so rich!

Elza                : I said don’t lie! I heard your news  from the teacher! They said that your parents now is very poor, that’s why you quit from school because your parents didn’t have  enough  many to schooling you! Am I right?!

Bobby            : ( Almost cry ) I.. I...

Dessy             : It’s enough you two! Don’t have fight here. It’s embarassing you know?

Hanz               : Yes, she’s right. It’s not the right place to fight. So stop it.

Elza                : But he... He is lying to us!

Dessy             : It’s okay, Elza. Bobby, I’m sorry for Elza rude’s word. Can you tell me what is really happen to you?

Bobby            : Yeah, I’m sorry too. The news from the teacher is right. My family is become poor now and I must help my parents looking for money. ( Sob.. Sob.. )

Hanz               : Oh. Ya, it’s okay Bobby. We understand your condition. Are you regret all your mistake to us and Steven, now?

Bobby            : Yes, I always regret my mistake since my family became poor. And I  want to say sorry to all you. I am very sorry. Please forgive me! ( Dip his body )

Dessy             : We already forgive you Bobby. That’s what friends for. We here will be always ready to help you. Is it right?

Hanz&Elza    : Yes, of course.

Bobby            : Thank you. Thank you so much. But, I want to say sorry to Steven too.

Hanz               : Steven? He’s moved to the other city. That’s too bad. But, I sure that Steven will forgive your mistake.

Elza                : Yeah, Bobby. Don’t worry about it. Steven will forgive your mistake.

Bobby            : You sure?  Thank you.

Dessy             : Your welcome. Bobby, we will go home first. Good bye

Bobby            : ( Smile ) OK. Good bye.

Narrator       : Hanz, Dessy and Elza continue to go  home. They happy because Bobby is changed. He become nice and say sorry to them. Now, they don’t need to worry about their relationship to Bobby. They walking home with smile in their face.
